GROVE TOWNSHIP HALL CONTRACT

This contract is between the board of Grove Township (Township) of Silver Lake, Kansas, and the undersigned (User) for the use of the Grove Township Hall (Township Hall).  The Township and User agree to all of the following terms:

TERM

1. User herby contracts for the use of Grove Township Hall on the date of _______________________ for the period of time beginning at __________________ and ending at _______________________.  In the event User begins his or her use before the above beginning time or stays after the above stated time, the additional time shall be charged at the applicable rate.  Time shall be charged in increments of not less than one hour.

FEES AND DEPOSITS

• User shall pay fees and deposits for the use of the Township Hall as follows:

The User Fee, Clean Up Deposit and Other Fees have been paid at the time of signing this contract or before said usage of Township Hall.

WARRANTIES

• Township does not warrant the Township Hall for any purpose, except that User shall have the peacable use of the Township Hall for the term above.

TERMS OF USE

• User agrees that he or she and guests shall use the Township Hall in a reasonable and prudent manner and to observe all Township, County and State laws and ordinances.  User further agrees that he or she shall vacate the Township Hall at the time agreed above, and leave it in a neat and clean condition, free of damage.  In the event the Township Hall is not left in this condition, User agrees that his or her deposit(s) will be retained to the extent necessary to pay costs of clean up and/or repair and, if costs exceed the amount of the deposit, that the User shall be liable to the Township for payment of such costs.  In all events, User agrees that the Township shall have sole discretion to determine the need for such clean up and/or repair and that the Township shall further have the sole discretion to determine whether all or any part of the deposit shall be refundable to User, and the amount of additional payment, if any, that is payable to the Township Hall.  User further agrees that is User cancels User’s reservations within ten (10) days of the reserved date of use, the User fee will be retained by Township as liquidated damages.

There may be certain items of personal property located in the Township hall that do not belong to the Township and which are not being leased by User by this agreement.  User may request permission to use these items by contacting the owner, Grove 4-H, of these items.  The name and phone number for a representative of Grove 4-H may be obtained form a member of the Grove Township Board.

HOLD HARMLESS

• User agrees to hold the Township harmless for any and all claims that may result from personal injury or damage to property of User or others arising out of the use of the Township Hall.

RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE OBSERVED

               The User acknowledges that he or she has read and agrees to the Rules and Regulations Governing Use of Grove Township Hall, dated ________________________________ and agrees to be bound by all terms thereof.
